Scottish Transport Minister Kevin Stewart Resigns due to Poor Mental Health

He has been suffering from low mental health since October of last year and has had bouts of poor mental health since then.

In his resignation letter to the First Minister, he said that he has been feeling unwell for the past week and cannot continue to serve both his constituents and hold ministerial office while maintaining good mental health.

He will continue to sit as an MSP and pledged to support the First Minister and the government from the backbenches.
