Scottish gangster James White, a key figure in one of Scotland's most prolific organized crime groups, is estimated to have amassed over £126 million from his criminal activities, according to prosecutors.

White, aged 46, led a gang run by brothers James and Barry Gillespie. Crown lawyers have initiated a proceeds of crime claim, seeking to confiscate assets worth 0.001% of the estimated sum, believed to be the largest such action in Scotland.

White, who was extradited from Brazil, was sentenced to nearly 10 years in prison in August for serious organized crime and firearms offenses. The gang was known for its involvement in drugs, firearms, violence, and money laundering. White's lawyers are contesting the claim, and the case will be heard in court next year.
