Campbell Scott, a Scottish businessman aged 58, was found deceased in Nairobi, Kenya, after he had disappeared on February 16 while attending a conference at the JW Marriott Hotel.
Scott was a senior director at Fico, a credit scoring firm, which confirmed the discovery of his body through local police sources.
Scott, originally from Fife, Scotland, was last seen by his colleagues at the event held in the JW Marriott, located in Nairobi's affluent Westlands district.
His employer described him as a leader in the company's international Scores business and highlighted his significant contributions since joining Fico in 2014, particularly in expanding the company’s market reach and enhancing existing partnerships.
The firm expressed sorrow over his passing, stating that the staff were 'devastated' by the news, and acknowledged his qualities of humor and kindness.
They extended condolences to his family and friends, requesting media respect for their privacy during this difficult time.
Following his disappearance, local authorities initiated a search operation, which was reportedly supported by Interpol.
