Scotland Pledges to End Temporary Accommodation for Children and Build 111,000 Affordable Homes

First Minister John Swinney’s 2026-2031 programme commits Scotland to ending the use of unsuitable temporary housing for families and maintaining a target of 111,000 affordable homes by 2032, alongside a new office to accelerate major infrastructure projects.
