Saudi Arabia To Participate In Miss Universe Pageant For 1st Time Ever

Saudi Arabia will make its debut in the Miss Universe pageant, with Rumy Alqahtani, a seasoned beauty contestant and influencer, representing the country.

Alqahtani announced her participation on Instagram, sharing images of herself in a glamorous sequined gown and expressing honor at being the first to represent Saudi Arabia in the competition.

Hailing from Riyadh, Alqahtani has a history of joining global pageants, including the recent Miss and Mrs Global Asian in Malaysia.

Last year's Miss Universe title was won by Sheynnis Palacios of Nicaragua, marking the country's first win, with contenders from Thailand and Australia finishing as runners-up. The upcoming edition of Miss Universe is set to take place in Mexico.
