San Francisco Officially Bans Smoking Cigs Inside Of Your Own Apartment, Approves Weed

Smokers in the Golden Gate City have been banned from smoking tobacco in their apartments, but smoking a marijuana joint inside is perfectly fine, officials announced Tuesday.

The Board of Supervisors approved the new law in 10 to 1 vote, making San Francisco the largest city in the country to adopt the tough measure against tobacco smokers, the San Francisco Chronicle reported.

Lawmakers originally proposed to ban marijuana smoking in buildings, but they reversed their position after cannabis activists protested that it was the only legal place they could smoke.

Tobacco smokers argued the new law violated their rights especially while living in their homes. However, officials greenlighted the bill citing secondhand smoking concerns.

Listen I'm not a cigarette smoker so I technically don't have a dog in this race, but I'd be lying if I said I didn't love a well-timed butt. Not a douchey, "look at me I'm smoking" cig..an understated, inappropriately-timed butt by an actual smoker in an environment that effects other people. To me, it's funny. It's even funnier when they don't know what they're doing is disrespectful.

It's like when you hear stories about your grandparents smoking with the windows up in a car full of kids. They didn't know any better, they were just living their life. Which is exactly what people should be allowed to do in their own homes- live their lives. If you want to hotbox your apartment with cigarette smoke you should be able to do that. You should know that it will eventually kill you, but it should be your choice.

As far as the weed goes? Who gives a shit- it's weed. Overall I think if you're going to allow for one you have to allow for the other. Smoke is smoke is smoke. Let people live their lives as long as it doesn't impact those around them. That's it for this one. Now take it away, Phil!

You just can't make these types of stories up. Now the socialist commies are telling you what you can do in your own apartment that you pay the rent on. I am glad to see you get what you vote for
