Samsung has announced the introduction of its new Galaxy S25 series, which includes the Galaxy S25, S25+, and S25 Ultra.

The series is set to launch on February 7 and is distinguished by significant advancements in artificial intelligence (AI) tools, according to the company.

The enhancements in AI technology are a key focus in the S25 models, which Samsung claims will offer users a more integrated and intuitive experience.

The updates include capabilities for multi-layered commands, enabling users to engage in tasks such as locating sports fixtures and adding them to a calendar via the Google Gemini AI assistant—all within a single voice command.

Samsung’s collaboration with Google plays a pivotal role in these developments, as the series runs on Android, Google's operating system.

This partnership ensures compatibility of AI features across all Samsung and Google native apps and selected third-party applications such as Spotify.

In addition to AI upgrades, the S25 series features enhanced camera systems and improved processing power.

The smartphone cameras and processors have been redesigned to deliver better performance in photography and multitasking.

A newly introduced feature, Circle to Search, has been adjusted to recognize various data types, including phone numbers and email addresses, making searches more efficient.

Context-driven functions like Now Brief and Now Bar have been added to offer users tailored suggestions and updates based on their daily digital habits.

Annika Bizon, director of Mobile Experience at Samsung UK and Ireland, highlighted the role of AI as a supportive technology, portraying it as a personal assistant capable of managing everyday tasks and easing the burdens of daily life.

The initial pricing for the series is set with the Galaxy S25 starting at £979, S25+ at £999, and the S25 Ultra, which includes Samsung's S Pen stylus, at £1,249.

Ben Wood, an industry analyst from CCS Insight, observed that Samsung's emphasis on AI mirrors a broader industry trend aimed at differentiating products in a highly competitive smartphone market.

Wood noted that enhancing AI capabilities is seen as a potential differentiator amid a landscape where physical hardware improvements have become marginal.

The implementation of advanced AI tools represents a strategic move by Samsung to sustain consumer interest in a market that is increasingly saturated with high-specification devices from various manufacturers, including Apple's forthcoming iPhone updates.
