Safestyle UK, a window and door firm, has entered administration, resulting in the loss of nearly 680 jobs. The company, based in Bradford, cited challenges such as high cost inflation, fragile consumer confidence, and unseasonably warm weather in September, which reduced demand for its products.
Administrators have stated that customer orders that have not been delivered will not be fulfilled, and even partially completed installations will require customers to find an alternative installer.
Administrators are still seeking buyers for parts of the business. The GMB union held a protest outside the company's manufacturing site, where workers expressed their frustration and disappointment with how they were informed about the job losses.
