In a poll conducted by Find Out Now, it was suggested that even if Jeremy Corbyn does not stand in the London mayoral race, Sadiq Khan is still the frontrunner for a third term as mayor.
In this scenario, Khan received 46% support, while Susan Hall, the Conservative candidate, received 26%. Other candidates, including Brian Blackie and Vanessa Garbett, received 9% each, and independent candidate David Cox received 6%.
The poll results indicate that Khan maintains a healthy lead over his competitors, even without Corbyn in the race. However, it's worth noting that the poll used different methodology and was weighted back to the 2019 General Election result instead of the 2021 London mayoral contest.
The mayoralty will be decided using the first-past-the-post system, and it's uncertain how supporters of smaller parties will vote in this election.
