This move follows a meeting with the families of Nuria Sajjad and Selena Lau, both aged eight, who died in a crash at the Study prep school in Wimbledon, south-west London.
The driver responsible was found to have had an epileptic seizure.
The families, along with their lawyer Trevor Sterling, expressed concerns over the year-long investigation, prompting Khan to consider an expedited protocol for such cases.
