Runaway Horses in Central London: Five Bolting Cavalry Horses Injure Soldiers and Civilians, Bloodied Animals Recovered
In central London, a startling incident occurred when several runaway cavalry horses were filmed galloping through the streets.
The horses, some of which appeared to be covered in blood, had bolted during a routine exercise, according to the Army.
The cause of their panic was attributed to loud noises from nearby building works.
As a result, a number of soldiers and civilians were injured, with at least four people reportedly hurt by the ambulance service.
The Army confirmed that all five horses were eventually recovered and taken back to their military base for a veterinary assessment.
