Spanish police have arrested two men and one woman in connection with a series of burglaries involving at least 22 luxury homes in Ibiza.

The thefts, which date back to 2019, involved thieves breaking into homes late at night while residents slept, often stealing thousands of euros in goods.

Victims commonly reported feeling groggy upon waking, leading police to suspect that a gas inducing drowsiness was used.

Total stolen goods are estimated at €548,500 (about £460,000).

Nick Grimshaw, a former Radio 1 host, was reportedly targeted by these thieves one week prior to the arrests.

The investigation led police to locate the suspects by tracing stolen vehicles, culminating in a raid where many reported missing items like high-end watches and designer accessories were found.
