Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin announced that strong defenses downed all the drones targeting the capital.

Russia reported downing 45 Ukrainian drones overnight, including 11 over Moscow, though independent verification is unavailable.

Both nations have been using drones to strike deep into each other's territories, with Ukraine targeting areas like St. Petersburg and southwestern Russia.

Ukraine's aerial assaults aim to disrupt Russia's logistics, striking refineries and oil depots.

A fire at an oil depot in Rostov continues to burn, and Russia states that 31 people have died and 143 have been injured since Ukraine's attack began on August 6.

Meanwhile, Ukraine claims its air defenses intercepted a major drone attack from Russia involving 69 drones and three missiles.

The conflict has opened another front for Ukraine, stretching its forces thin while continuing to face challenges in the Donbas region.

Russia's state news agency Tass reports further attempts to attack Kursk by Ukrainian forces, which remain unverified.

Both nations emphasize their humanitarian efforts as they exchange accusations of war crimes.
