The crew was detained before darkness fell, with assistance from British sailors, Royal Marines, and a US Coast Guard team.
Defence Secretary Grant Shapps commended the Navy's efforts to disrupt and dismantle drug trafficking organizations.
Within two days, HMS Trent, a Royal Navy ship, collaborated with a US Coast Guard patrol aircraft to capture another speedboat, according to the Ministry of Defense.
Since its deployment in the Caribbean at the end of 2023, HMS Trent has seized drugs valued at £307m.
In February, £221m worth of cocaine and other drugs were seized, followed by £70m in January.
Commanding Officer Tim Langford praised his crew's ability to switch from defense engagements in Martinique to successful boarding operations and highlighted the excellent cooperation between the Royal Navy, US Coast Guard, and other partners in making these seizures possible.
The British warship HMS Trent sailed from Gibraltar to Guyana in December, aiming to strengthen diplomatic and military ties with the former British colony amidst Venezuela's renewed territorial claims over a disputed Guyanese region rich in resources.
The HMS Trent, which primarily focuses on tackling piracy, smuggling, protecting fisheries, counterterrorism, providing humanitarian aid, and search and rescue operations, is also capable of border patrols and defence diplomacy.
