The list ranks the top 1,000 wealthiest individuals or families in the UK based on their net wealth.
Sunak and Murty's fortune surged from £529 million last year to £651 million in 2024, placing them 245th.
In contrast, King Charles' wealth grew to £610 million, ranking him 258th.
A significant portion of their wealth comes from Murty's stake in Infosys, founded by her father, Narayana Murthy.
This makes them the wealthiest residents in 10 Downing Street's history.
The Sunaks' wealth also exceeded that of the late Queen Elizabeth II in 2022.
Interestingly, estimating monarchs' personal wealth is complex as their combined wealth including estates and palaces is estimated to be in the tens of billions.
Rishi Sunak is the first active politician to appear on the Sunday Times' annual wealth list in its 35-year history.
Meanwhile, Gopichand Hinduja of the Hinduja Group tops the 2024 list with a fortune of £37.196 billion, just as he did last year.
The combined wealth of the list's 350 richest people exceeds £795 billion, surpassing Poland's GDP.
