First Minister Mark Drakeford emphasized the significance of these events in light of current global conflicts. The service included a march by military detachments and a two-minute silence, marked by a bugle call and artillery gun signal.

In addition to Cardiff, remembrance parades and services were held in Wrexham, Swansea, Beaumaris, Flint, Cardigan, and Cwmbran Park. In Newport, a parade led by the Stedfast Band culminated in a wreath-laying ceremony at Cwmcarn Memorial Park. Attendees included veterans and young cadets, emphasizing the importance of remembrance across generations.

Cardiff council leader Huw Thomas highlighted the importance of solidarity in the face of ongoing war and conflict. The Royal British Legion's Field of Remembrance at Cardiff Castle will remain open until November 15 as part of the commemorations.
