Record Heat Temperatures in Ukraine Amid Power Crisis

Record heat temperatures are affecting several cities in Ukraine, including Kyiv, due to Russian attacks on power plants causing extensive power outages. Temperatures in Kyiv reached 36 degrees Celsius, breaking a record, while residents are facing severe heat and long durations without electricity.

Several cities across Ukraine, including Kyiv, Vinnytsia, Chernivtsi, and Mykolaiv, are experiencing historic scorching temperatures.

These regions are suffering from extensive power outages following Russian attacks on power plants, which have significantly reduced Ukraine's electricity generation capacity.

Temperatures in Kyiv recently hit 36 degrees Celsius, breaking an almost century-old record.

The energy ministry has implemented strict electricity rationing and urged government buildings to turn off air conditioners.

Residents have been seeking relief from the heat, with some areas experiencing power outages for up to 20 hours a day.
