Trump demands the release of all hostages by noon on Saturday or warns that 'all hell will break loose.'
On Wednesday, Adam Boehler, the U.S. Special Envoy for Hostage Affairs, issued a caution to Hamas regarding the liberation of American captives.
Boehler stressed that the terrorist group should not misjudge President
Donald Trump's determination as the deadline for the hostages' release approaches this weekend.
He remarked, "We currently have seven Americans who are being held by Hamas.
This is a terrorist organization, and it's unacceptable.” Boehler's comments come at a time of increased tension following Hamas's announcement to delay the upcoming planned hostage release, citing alleged Israeli breaches of the ceasefire.
In reaction, President Trump urged Israel to end the ceasefire if all hostages are not returned by noon on Saturday.
He stated, "I’d say they ought to be returned by 12 o’clock on Saturday, and if they’re not returned...
all hell is going to break loose.” Reports indicate that there are presently seventy-six hostages in the Gaza Strip, including at least six Americans.
Israeli officials have noted that the ceasefire agreement will be nullified, and military actions will recommence if the hostages are not released as promised by Hamas.
