Round-the-clock work to stabilize a rail embankment damaged by storms in Braybrooke, Northamptonshire, on the Midland Mainline is set to finish on Thursday.
The repairs began a week ago, and passengers have been dealing with an emergency timetable that increased journey times by up to an hour. Some stops on the line have been temporarily removed, and several trains have been replaced by buses.
Network Rail is installing soil nails and netting to strengthen the affected area. The emergency timetable will continue until Thursday morning, with trains from rail firm Connect terminating at Wellingborough instead of Kettering and Corby.
