The Louis Vuitton Spring/Summer 2022 show was a magnificent depiction of time, presenting clothing as the conduit uniting each moment forward. Nicolas Ghesquière's latest collection is an extravagant exploration into uniting the wardrobes of day and night, past and present, generation to generation.

Models displayed absolute elegance as they strutted down the halls of the Louvre. Black and white blazers, capes, and fantastic gowns with billowing skirt silhouettes shined as Ghesquirère reimagines and evokes the designs of early Louis Vuitton. The historic detailing and charming ball atmosphere tied the entire collection together, bringing the contemporary into the traditional.

Near the middle of the show, a protestor from the Amis de la Terre France campaign group, a French environmentalist organization, crashed the runway with a banner reading "Overconsumption = extinction" and made her way down the catwalk before being taken away by security. Due to this rare occurrence, Ghesquière himself had to close out the show while being escorted by a bodyguard to ensure his safety.
