Metropolitan Police conclude investigation as file on assault allegations reaches Crown Prosecution Service

A Premier League footballer in his 30s is at the center of a high-profile legal investigation following allegations of rape involving multiple women between 2021 and 2022.

Arrested in Barnet, north London, in July 2022, the player faces accusations related to an incident in June of the same year involving a woman in her 20s.

A spokesperson for the Met Police stated: 'Met officers are investigating following a number of reports of alleged sexual offences between 2021 and 2023.

A full file has been passed to the Crown Prosecution Service and detectives continue to work with prosecutors.

The accused, who cannot be named for legal reasons, maintains his denial of all allegations.
