In an incident on March 8, 2025, parts of Donald Trump’s Turnberry golf resort in Ayrshire, Scotland, were vandalised by members of the pro-Palestinian group Palestine Action.

The group posted images on social media depicting red paint defaced across a building within the resort, accompanied by graffiti stating "Gaza is not for sale." Additionally, they reportedly dug up sections of the golf course, highlighting their protest against Trump’s proposed actions regarding the Gaza Strip.

The incident included further damage to a lamp post at the resort.

Police Scotland confirmed they are investigating the vandalism, which they were alerted to early in the morning.

A spokesperson for the Trump Organisation referred to the act as "childish" and "criminal," asserting that the resort's staff would work to ensure that business operations continue unaffected.

The vandalism follows recent controversial comments made by Trump regarding the Gaza Strip.

In remarks during a joint press conference with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, he proposed the idea of relocating Palestinians and redeveloping Gaza under U.S. oversight.

These statements prompted international criticism and were rejected by Arab nations.

The proposal included a vision for Gaza's redevelopment, which was illustrated in an AI-generated video presented by Trump.

Historically, Trump Turnberry is recognized as one of the elite golf courses globally, having hosted The Open Championship four times since its inauguration.

The resort underwent significant renovations after Trump acquired it in 2014, marking it as his second golf venture in Scotland after the establishment of Trump International Golf Links in Aberdeenshire.

Palestine Action's mission is to challenge British involvement in what they describe as Israeli apartheid, declaring their resistance to Trump's rhetoric surrounding Gaza and asserting that such views do not grant him ownership over the region.

The group stated their intention to continue their activism against what they perceive as U.S.-Israeli colonialism in Palestine.

As inquiries into the vandalism continue, the incident adds to the ongoing dialogue regarding the geopolitical issues surrounding Israel and Palestine, which remains a complex and contentious global matter.
