On June 5th, 2024, pro-Palestinian demonstrators occupied the building housing the offices of Stanford University's president and provost.

The occupation began early in the morning on the last day of spring quarter classes.

Around ten students barricaded themselves inside while approximately fifty others linked arms outside the building.

The group chanted pro-Palestinian slogans.

Law enforcement officers broke into the building within about two hours and made multiple arrests.

A university spokesperson confirmed that other campus operations were unaffected.
