Private Consortium Plans £35 Billion UK Nuclear Programme Targeting Small Modular Reactor Rollout
A multinational investor group led by industrialist Michał Sołowow has proposed building 14 advanced boiling water reactors across three UK sites, including Oldbury in Gloucestershire, in a £35 billion programme aimed at powering around eight million homes and supplying energy for large artificial intelligence data centres, while competing with Rolls-Royce in modular reactor development.
