Shortly after advocating for peace in the Israel-Hamas conflict, he engaged with ambassadors from the Holocaust Educational Trust aiming to combat the surge in antisemitic acts in Britain.

Prime Minister Rishi Sunak recently pledged £54 million to safeguard Jewish communities in response to a spike in antisemitic incidents.

At the synagogue, the prince, wearing a kippah, listened to Jewish students sharing distressing accounts of antisemitism, including threats and violence. He also spoke with 94-year-old Holocaust survivor Renee Salt about her experiences.

William's call for the end of violence in Gaza and for Hamas to release hostages marked a rare royal foray into political issues, drawing significant media attention.

Having kept a keen interest in the Middle East since his 2018 official visit, the prince is anticipated to take on more public roles, especially as his father, King Charles, undergoes cancer treatment.

Speculation over William's absence from a memorial for his godfather, King Constantine of Greece, heightened since neither he nor his wife Kate, who is recovering from abdominal surgery, have been seen publicly since Christmas.

However, palace sources state that his absence was unrelated to his father's health and that Kate is recuperating well.
