Prince Harry Granted Permission to Appeal High Court Security Ruling
Prince Harry has been granted permission to appeal a High Court ruling that downgraded his personal security in the UK. The Court of Appeal will hear his challenge against the Home Office's decision, originally made by Ravec. Harry's appeal argues for a fair application of the existing security rules.

The legal dispute began in 2020 when Harry contested the Home Office's decision, made by the Royal and VIP Executive Committee (Ravec), to reduce his taxpayer-funded protection after he and Meghan Markle stepped back from royal duties.
The High Court initially ruled in February that the decision was lawful, and subsequently refused Harry's appeal in April.
However, the Court of Appeal, under Lord Justice Bean's order dated May 23, will now hear Harry’s challenge.
The Prince's argument focuses on seeking a fair application of Ravec's rules, which he alleges were not appropriately applied in his case.
