Prince Andrew Implicated in Jeffrey Epstein Court Documents
Prince Andrew's name appears in unsealed US court papers linked to disgraced financier Jeffrey Epstein. These documents, which detail an accusation by a woman claiming the prince groped her in Epstein's New York home, also mention other high-profile figures, including former President Bill Clinton.

Sjoberg describes a scene where Ghislaine Maxwell, later convicted of sex trafficking, used a Prince Andrew puppet for a photograph where she claims the prince inappropriately touched her. At the time, Sjoberg was a 20-year-old college student drawn into Epstein's orbit by Maxwell under the guise of assistant work, which quickly turned into pressure to perform sexual massages—an advance she resisted.
The documents also include references to Virginia Giuffre (formerly Roberts), who later made a civil sex assault claim against Prince Andrew that was settled in 2022. In that settlement, Prince Andrew expressed regret over his ties to Epstein and praised the courage of survivors like Giuffre.
Judge Loretta Preska ordered the unsealing of these records, part of a defamation lawsuit Giuffre filed against Maxwell, which was settled privately. This release provides more detail about Epstein's contacts and acquaintances.
Epstein passed away in jail in 2019 before facing trial for his crimes, leaving a network of political, business, and royal connections under scrutiny. Prince Andrew has since retired from royal duties and lost his titles in the aftermath of his association with Epstein, though in the past Buckingham Palace has condemned all forms of human exploitation, distancing itself from Epstein's actions.
