Prime Minister Keir Starmer Unveils Three Hundred Billion Pound Defence Investment Plan

Prime Minister Keir Starmer has set out a long-term defence investment programme worth 300 billion pounds aimed at modernising the United Kingdom’s armed forces. The plan allocates more than five billion pounds to drone and autonomous systems over the next four years, but the government says it will require difficult choices, including reprioritising some road, housing and energy infrastructure spending.
