The priest, identified only as Tomasz Z. under local privacy laws, was arrested and faces sex crimes, drug offenses, and charges for not aiding a medically endangered individual.

The national news agency, PAP, reported that a man collapsed at the sex party due to excessive consumption of erectile dysfunction medication. Although help was summoned, the paramedics were initially denied entry, delaying treatment until law enforcement intervened.

Prosecutors have charged Tomasz Z. with drug distribution, sexual misconduct, and neglecting to assist someone in danger. Conviction on these counts could result in up to a decade of imprisonment.

The bishop of the affected diocese resigned last year, while Tomasz Z. was stripped of his clerical duties following the event's publicity. In addition to the legal proceedings, the church is conducting its investigation, with outcomes to be sent to the Vatican.
