Authorities in New Britain are investigating the death of an individual found unresponsive in a parking lot early Monday morning.

Emergency personnel were called to the scene but were unable to revive the victim, whose identity has not yet been released pending family notification.

Police say the circumstances remain under investigation as they work to determine the cause of death and whether foul play was involved.
