Pedestrian in Critical Condition Following Collision in Hackney
Sixty-year-old man hospitalized after being struck by a car in early morning incident.
A pedestrian is currently in critical condition following a car collision in Hackney, London.
The incident occurred shortly after 5:50 AM on Tuesday on New North Road, specifically at the junction with Mintern Street.
Emergency services, including officers from the Met Police, paramedics from the London Ambulance Service, and London’s Air Ambulance, attended to the scene promptly.
The pedestrian, a 60-year-old male, was transported to a hospital where he is reported to be in a life-threatening condition.
The driver of the vehicle remained at the scene following the incident and, as of now, no arrests have been made.
Detective Constable Bruce White is overseeing the investigation and has expressed concern for the injured individual and his family.
Authorities are actively seeking information from the public regarding the incident.
They are particularly interested in speaking to anyone who was in the vicinity of New North Road between 5:30 AM and 6:00 AM, especially those who might have been commuting or have relevant dashcam or doorbell camera footage.
Detective Constable White emphasized the importance of any information witnesses may have, urging individuals to come forward with any details, regardless of how minor they may seem.
