A man narrowly escaped being killed when part of a patio slab smashed through his car's windscreen while he was driving at 70mph on the A467 near Risca, Caerphilly county, in Wales.

Ian Pugh, 39, was on his way home when the chunk of slab broke through the glass, narrowly missing him. The incident was reported to Gwent Police, and investigations are ongoing.

Mr. Pugh believes that a group of people may have been standing on the road and threw the slab, unaware of the potential danger they were causing. Several others reported similar experiences in the same area.
