The cross-party Health and Social Care Committee has urged the government to ban outdoor advertising for unhealthy food by July 2027 and prevent new fast-food outlets from opening near schools. Lawmakers said obesity now costs the United Kingdom more than seventy-four billion pounds each year and called for stronger public health measures.
