In a remarkable display, para-archer Jodie Grinham clinched a bronze medal in the women's individual compound at the 2024 Paralympics in Paris, defeating ParalympicsGB team-mate and defending champion Phoebe Paterson Pine.

This marks Grinham's first individual Paralympic medal, following her 2016 Rio Games silver in the compound mixed team event.

Seven months pregnant, Grinham trailed by two points after the fourth end but delivered a stunning 29 in the fifth and final end, overcoming Pine's 26 to win 142-141.

Despite facing health challenges and spending the week 'in and out of hospital' in Paris, Grinham expressed immense pride and gratitude for her support system.

She will compete again on Monday in the mixed team compound with Nathan MacQueen.
