Activist group wins right to challenge anti-terror designation
The UK High Court has granted Palestine Action the right to legally challenge its designation under anti-terrorism laws, marking a significant development in a contentious legal battle over civil liberties and political protest.
The court ruled there is sufficient merit for a full judicial review, following arguments that the ban infringes on the group’s right to free expression.
Palestine Action campaigns against companies supplying arms to Israel, and the case is expected to test the limits of the UK’s anti-terrorism legislation.
