Lisa Stansfield, a Rochdale singer and songwriter, expressed her disappointment to The Guardian about the challenges young musicians face in the industry due to the current economic climate and lack of government support.
She finds it "disgusting" that young artists struggle to get started, as they are charged fees to perform at gigs and lack financial resources.
Stansfield believes the government doesn't care about this issue and criticizes those who claim everyone has choices, acknowledging that many people don't have any real alternatives.
