Imogen, a 20-year-old actress identified under a pseudonym, testified that she felt "sexually threatened" by Clarke during a dinner meeting in July 2014, at Soho House in London.
She described the encounter as frightening, noting that Clarke had suggested they go to his flat for sex and mentioned taking photographs of the act, which she found disturbing.
In her statement, she reflected on her youth and lack of experience at that time, stating, "I found this really frightening and disturbing."
Imogen had been introduced to Clarke by Jason Maza, who was Clarke's business partner.
During the dinner, she conveyed her discomfort, recalling that she had told Clarke she was 17 in hopes of dissuading him from making sexual advances, but this strategy failed.
She recounted graphic comments Clarke allegedly made about sexual acts, which left her feeling disgusted.
She described a moment when Clarke excused himself to go to the bathroom, claiming he was "hard at the dinner table" and implied something sexual would occur in the restroom.
Imogen characterized her emotional response as a typical reaction for women in such situations, stating, "I was frozen."
Despite the distressing nature of the encounter, Imogen later sent Clarke friendly messages, including one in 2017 that concluded with "my love xxx." She explained that her previous feelings had shifted over time and that she had often used affectionate language.
However, she expressed a desire to come forward if further allegations against Clarke surfaced.
During the proceedings, her testimony was challenged by Clarke’s lawyer, Philip Williams, who suggested that she was embellishing her account.
Imogen firmly stated that her recollections were accurate.
Another witness, Joanne Hayes, a former costume assistant, testified about a separate incident with Clarke in 2004. She reported that while alone with him in his trailer, Clarke made a comment about preferring women with long hair, which she found inappropriate.
Hayes stated her hesitation to report such incidents at the time stemmed from concerns about her career in the industry.
The trial has seen a total of 32 witnesses called to testify for GNM in its defense against Clarke’s libel claim.
Furthermore, the presiding judge, Mrs. Justice Steyn, has issued a warning regarding the potential for contempt of court proceedings against one of Clarke’s witnesses for failing to appear despite multiple summonses.
