Noel Clarke, the actor and writer, is moving forward with his libel case against The Guardian at the High Court. This decision comes after a judge ruled on the meaning of seven articles, concluding that they implied there were strong grounds to believe Clarke was guilty of various forms of sexual harassment.
The Guardian had published a series of stories in 2021 and 2022 in which 20 women made accusations of sexual misconduct against Clarke. He denies the allegations and is seeking £10 million in damages. The newspaper has defended its investigation and intends to vigorously defend its journalism in court.
