Nikki Haley Ends Presidential Bid, Calls on Trump to Seek Broader Support

Nikki Haley, the former UN ambassador, withdrew from the presidential race and, without endorsing Donald Trump, urged him to gain the favor of moderates and independents who supported her.

Speaking in Charleston, Haley recognized Trump's responsibility to reach out to those who previously opposed him.

After winning only one state on Super Tuesday, Haley could not pose a significant challenge to Trump’s campaign. Known for her forthrightness, Haley gained national attention during her tenure as UN ambassador, a position appointed by Trump.
