Plans to build a 21-meter (70-foot) high 5G phone mast on Quay West Holiday Park in New Quay, Ceredigion, have been withdrawn after facing 73 objections.
Nearby residents expressed concerns about the mast's impact on property values and the town council argued that it would only benefit park users and that its location in a Special Landscape Area was inappropriate.
Despite claims that the mast would enhance mobile coverage, the planning application faced opposition, leading to its withdrawal. The application had aimed to provide improved 5G services for Vodafone, along with continued 3G and 4G mobile connections to the surrounding area.
