Nearly 100 British nationals who have been listed as eligible to leave Gaza and enter Egypt. The Palestinian border authority has approved their departure, and they are among the foreign nationals who have been allowed to leave Gaza recently.
This comes after the border crossings in and out of Gaza had been closed since October 7th due to conflicts between Hamas and Israel. The UK government has provided support for its nationals leaving Gaza, and there is a prioritized list based on medical vulnerability.
The situation at the Rafah border crossing, which is not controlled by Israel, remains uncertain, and the British government is being cautious about giving an exact number of people who will be able to leave due to the lack of control over the border and the situation inside Gaza.
