However, they didn't realize they had won for a whole month because they ignored the emails notifying them of their win. James missed four emails from Camelot, the organization behind the National Lottery, because he was busy with work and had gone on a holiday to Berlin.

After finally checking the fourth email from the National Lottery, James realized that he and his wife had matched the five main numbers in the 'Set For Life' draw and were entitled to receive £10,000 a month for the next year.

They are from Walsall and plan to spend some of their winnings on a holiday, a laptop, and a new front door. They have also paid off a loan they used to buy a car and intend to build a personal arts and crafts space for Sally.

The couple received advice from their parents to "enjoy themselves, but wisely." This means that they can now afford to purchase the expensive bespoke front door that James had been considering.

he 'Set For Life' lottery costs £1.50 to play and offers various prize options, including a top prize of £10,000 a month for 30 years or £10,000 a month for a year, depending on the numbers matched.
