Emily Kathleen, 29, was on her way to the hospital with her partner, Jake, 32, when she realized she wouldn't make it in time. Jake was forced to deliver their daughter, Piper, at the side of the A48 road in Gloucestershire.

Following the birth, Emily suffered significant blood loss, leaving the interior of the car covered in blood. The couple drove to a Toby Carvery car park to meet paramedics, but Emily's condition rapidly deteriorated, and she was rushed to the hospital. Due to the urgency of the situation, the bloodied car was left behind, leading to a misunderstanding.

When local police discovered the blood-covered Land Rover in the car park, they suspected a severe crime had taken place. The police later visited the hospital to verify the couple's story after being informed of the actual events.

Baby Piper, nicknamed 'Landie' after the vehicle she was born in, weighed 7lb 14oz and was born at 1.35am on September 7. Both she and Emily are doing well now.
