MP Peter Bone has been suspended from the UK's House of Commons for six weeks after an investigation found him guilty of bullying and sexual misconduct toward a former staff member. The suspension could trigger a by-election in his Wellingborough constituency, with polling suggesting it could flip from Conservative to Labour.
The Independent Expert Panel (IEP) recommended the suspension after finding that Bone had indecently exposed himself to a staffer during an overseas trip, breaking sexual misconduct rules. Bone denies the charges but had the Tory whip withdrawn and currently sits as an independent MP. A recall petition is now possible.
