Money Heist, 5th season: Netflix sets the release date with a shocking trailer

Money Heist, 5th season: Netflix sets the release date with a shocking trailer

Netflix will divide the fifth season of "La Casa de Papel" (eng. Money Heist) into two parts, which will be released in 2021.

The last season of Money Heist (La casa de papel), a premiere that Netflix saved for 2021. The platform has just reported that they will broadcast the 5th season divided into two parts : the first will premiere on September 3 and the second will be available from December 3.

The preview trailer released today raises the expectations of fans of the series.

"When we began to write Part 5 in the midst of a pandemic, we felt that we had to change what was expected of a ten-episode season and we tried by all means to generate a feeling of the end of the season or series finale in that first volume," explained the creator Álex Pina in the press release provided by Netflix.

It is expected that the first volume of the fifth season will be marked by "an extreme warlike genre" with the band of Professor (Álvaro Morte) on the ropes . It can be deduced taking into account that we said goodbye to the previous season with Inspector Alicia Sierra (Najwa Nimri) well pregnant and pointing her gun at the leader of the gang.

The last part, on the other hand, will be more dramatic: "We focus more on the emotionality of the characters, it is a journey through their sentimental map that connects us directly with the farewell." If anyone was still hoping, the head of state makes it clear that with the robbery of the Bank of Spain he will say goodbye once and for all to La casa de papel.

It remains to be seen, however, if Netflix wants to recycle one of its most successful brands in some way , either in the form of a prequel or producing a spin-off of a character.
