Missing British Actor Julian Sands Found Dead in California's Mount Baldy Area

Julian Sands, a 65-year-old British actor famous for his role in "A Room With A View," was reported missing in January after failing to return from a hike in California's Mount Baldy area.

His remains were found by civilian hikers on Saturday in the same area and were confirmed to be Sands' by a coroner on Tuesday.

The cause of death is still under investigation.

Sands' family released a statement last week expressing gratitude for the search teams and their efforts to find him.

Sands had previously described the feeling he got from hiking as a sense of supplication, sacrifice, and humility, and he had said it was not about celebrating oneself but about eradicating self-consciousness.
