On November 11, thousands are expected to march in London, coinciding with some Remembrance events. However, the organizers refused to cancel the march, disputing the police's claim that they had declined to postpone it.
The police have not invoked public order laws to request a ban on the demonstration from the Home Secretary. Both the Prime Minister and the Home Secretary have expressed strong objections to the planned march. Civil liberties group Liberty criticized the possibility of shutting down protests, arguing it would be a disproportionate response.
Israeli President Isaac Herzog has also condemned the planned march, calling for its ban.
