The Metropolitan Police have cut ties with adviser Attiq Malik after a video from 2021 surfaced showing him chanting "from the river to the sea" during a pro-Palestinian speech.

This chant is contentious, with some interpreting it as a call to eliminate the state of Israel, which is why the Met found his views incompatible with their values. Malik, a lawyer and chair of the London Muslim Communities Forum, has not publicly responded to the Met’s decision.

While the Met has ended its relationship with Malik, they will maintain their engagement with the Forum due to its community insight and feedback contributions.
