Meghan recalls first wedding dance in new trailer ahead of final Netflix episodes

Photos of the couple spinning around the dance floor are shown as the song – Land Of 1,000 Dances by Wilson Pickett – plays in the background
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have released a clip about the first dance at their wedding ahead of the final three episodes of their Netflix show.

Harry and Meghan can be seen discussing the moment, the song they chose and the lyrics in the 38-second clip.

It comes as a glimpse into the next episodes of their six-part Netflix series, which will air on Thursday morning.

Photos of the couple spinning around the dance floor are shown as the song – Land Of 1,000 Dances by Wilson Pickett – plays in the background.

Other wedding snaps show Harry and Meghan with their guests, including the likes of Sir Elton John and suits actress Abigail Spencer.

Reminiscing about the wedding, Meghan says: “I just really wanted the music to be fun – even our first dance.”

She can then be seen looking to Harry and trying to remember the song’s name.

“Song Of A Thousand Dances? I always get it wrong,” she says before singing some of the lyrics like “Mashed potato, do the alligator”.

He says encouragingly: “There you go.”

“That was our fist dance. It was so fun,” Meghan says.

“It was just spinning like a whirlwind. It was so great.”

The clip has been released amid the fallout over the first three episodes, which were released at 8am on Thursday morning.

The couple have received criticism over the series for apparently attacking British institutions as they discussed their experiences including racism.

On January 8 2020, the Sussexes revealed they intended to “step back as ‘senior’ members of the royal family and work to become financially independent”.

They officially left the monarchy on March 31 2020, having opted for personal and financial freedom over remaining as working members of the royal family.

Harry and Meghan signed lucrative deals, thought to be worth more than £100 million, with Netflix and Spotify after quitting, with the docuseries this week the first major output for them on the streaming giant.
