The winning goal was scored by Spanish midfielder Rodri in the 68th minute, and the victory gave City the treble, having also won the Premier League and the FA Cup this season.

City's manager, Pep Guardiola, has now won the Champions League three times, and his team's 12 trophies in the past four years under his leadership.

The victory was not a fluent performance from City, who struggled to create chances and were wobbly at the back.

However, they managed to hold on to their lead and prevent Inter from scoring, despite some close calls in the final minutes of the game.
